Giving Tuesday: Trey’s Surprise is Better than an Elephant

There are many ways to give:

  • Your Time
  • Your Talent
  • Your Money

This time of year, when giving is top of mind, we couldn’t help but share with you one of our favorite stories about Trey. He’s a Make-A-Wish kid who had a pretty simple wish. He didn’t want a Disney trip or to be a superhero for a day. This kid just wanted to do what we all take for granted every day.

Our favorite moment from this shoot? When Trey said, “I thought it was an elephant!” He was really in for the surprise of his life!

THE TRUE GIFT OF GIVING

In reality, we get as much as we give from Make-A-Wish stories. Sure, it takes our time and talent, but every story is a reminder of the optimism of children facing unthinkable challenges and the tenacity of the families who are on a journey they never expected.

This giving Tuesday, we encourage you to consider supporting the wishers and the crew who make those dreams come true over at Make-A-Wish, Alaska and Washington chapter — or the MAW near you.
